Laura's World
Pagham Harbour, Sussex. One of my favourite places in the world. This is an estuary, and the sea is just a short walk. Its often windy here, and the water always seems to have a wild quality about it even when calm. It is always a steely grey and feels like a living presence. The beach is big pebbles, all sorts of shapes and colours, and the water makes a loud SHHHHHHHHH as it hits the shore. Its a such a reassuring place, full of the sense that we are somehow comfortingly small in the face of creation.
